Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Abba mobile app (“Abba,” “the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use Abba.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the Abba team (currently an independent developer project). You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in some EU countries) to use Abba. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

Abba is a Christian prayer and Quiet Time (QT) companion powered by artificial intelligence. The app allows you to:

Abba offers a Free tier and Abba Pro subscriptions.

Pricing

Prices may vary by region and currency as set by Apple. The price shown in the App Store at the time of purchase is final.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time through iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Abba. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Pro access until then.

Free Tier Limits

The Free tier includes a limited number of AI analyses per week. Abba Pro removes this limit and unlocks all Pro features (Scripture Deep, Prayer Coaching, and others).

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple according to its refund policy. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot process refunds directly, but we will gladly support your request where appropriate.

4. User Content

You retain full ownership of the content you create in Abba — your prayers, recordings, meditations, and reflections are yours. By using Abba, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process, store, and display this content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you. This includes sending relevant text to our AI provider (Google Gemini) for analysis.

Abba uses artificial intelligence to generate scriptural reflections, summaries, and suggestions. AI output is a tool, not pastoral counsel or medical advice.

7. Intellectual Property

The Abba app, its design, logo, icons, interface, and original written content are owned by the Abba team and protected by international copyright and trademark laws. Scripture quotations are used under the applicable public-domain or licensed translations, credited within the app.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the app without our written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Abba is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Abba team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profit, or emotional distress, arising out of or related to your use of Abba.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for Abba Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea, unless otherwise required by your local consumer protection laws.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, California, or another jurisdiction that grants mandatory consumer rights, those rights remain fully available to you.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app, and the “Last Updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of Abba after updates means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app and delete your account.
